*IMPORTANT NOTICE - Any applicant for State Certified General or State Certified Residential Appraiser using the in-lieu-of degree courses, must complete a minimum of three (3) semester credit hours in each in-lieu-of course category.  This requirement applies to all certification applications filed on or after July 1, 2010.

 

*IMPORTANT NOTICE - Pursuant to OAR 161-025-0060(5), all licensees must disclose in all appraisal reports whether the comparable sales analyzed in the appraisal report were or were not confirmed by a party to the transaction or an agent or representative of a party to the transaction.

The Appraiser Certification and Licensure Board (ACLB) certifies and regulates real estate appraisers and appraiser assistants in Oregon. Its functions are independent of other realty-related regulatory agencies.

The ACLB protects the public by ensuring that all real estate-appraisal activities conducted in Oregon are in compliance with state and federal laws and standards. The ACLB is committed to ensuring the availability of state-certified appraisers; establishing and developing appraisal education and experience requirements; and ensuring that appraisals are performed in writing and in accordance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice by individuals whose competency has been demonstrated and whose professional conduct is subject to effective supervision.
